Who we are
Founded in 2015, Avivar Capital (Avivar) helps foundations, family offices, and other institutional investors put capital to work for positive social and environmental impact. Avivar combines more than a century of experience in impact investment strategy, research, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring and reporting to help clients align their financial resources with the change they seek to create.
Avivar operates through two business lines. Avivar Advisors, an SEC-registered investment adviser,¹ supports investors through each stage of the impact investment lifecycle: planning, policy, process and procedures, and portfolio management. Avivar Fund Management provides fund design, development, capital formation and deployment, portfolio monitoring and reporting, and fund administration.
1 Registration with the SEC as an investment adviser does not imply a certain level of skill or training.
What we do
Institutional investors increasingly want to put capital to work for positive change. Avivar Capital builds the infrastructure to make that possible.
Avivar Advisors works alongside clients on investment strategy, policy, portfolio construction, and the systems that track both financial and social performance. Avivar Fund Management creates and manages funds, raising and structuring capital, then deploying and administering it to drive impact at scale.
Planning, Policies and Procedures
We assist clients in designing investment strategy, creating investment policies, and developing processes and procedures that align their investments with their financial and impact goals.
Fund Development and Syndication
We develop funds to address thematic and/or geographic impact theses – from strategy and pipeline development to capitalization strategy, fund launch and full-service portfolio management.
Training and Education
We design and deliver customized training or coaching for trustees, staff, private investors, universities, and others interested in learning about impact investing.
