Avivar is deeply committed to building the field of impact investing by cultivating a diverse and inclusive next generation of impact investing professionals that represent the communities we serve. As such, Avivar hosts an internship program where we hire graduate, undergraduate and, in exceptional cases, high school students from a broad range of schools. We focus on recruiting diverse candidates to join the firm across all positions, including Analyst and Associate.

Program Overview
Analysts and Associates will experience a full schedule of activities:
Experiential learning
Interns have an opportunity to work across several departments including client management, deal sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring.
Customized training and field exposure
Avivar’s impact investing work and intern training cover investment structures across asset classes and thematic sectors.
Network building
Avivar’s speaker series highlights impact investing innovators offering perspective on their own personal career development, the work they’re doing today, and their advice and guidance for the future.
Team bonding
Avivar hosts virtual and in-person team building activities to nurture relationships across departments including mentorship matching, happy hours, dinners, and team outings.
Speaker Series
Leading experts and innovators in impact investing, venture capital and philanthropy share their experience and career path, as well as advice for future practitioners.
Partnerships
Avivar is proud to partner with schools, student groups and internship programs providing innovative experiential learning opportunities.

What can interns expect?
Interns have hands on experience conducting due diligence, research and portfolio monitoring on behalf of clients and their portfolios. Avivar also offers a speaker series in which interns network with thought leaders in the industry.
How long is the summer internship?
The summer internship program is a 12-week program.
Is this a paid internship?
Avivar offers competitive compensation.
Are there partial internship opportunities during the summer? (For example, can an applicant intern with another firm and split time with Avivar?)
The summer internship is reserved for full-time temporary interns. However, we are interested in hiring Spring interns on a part-time and/or project basis and may hire interns for special projects throughout the year.
Will Spring and/or Summer internships be remote?
For the foreseeable future, all internship opportunities are remote.
